Mud Set Showers

Tried and true artisans have preferred this method for centuries. This Old world method involves attaching asphalt paper, lathe or stucco netting to shower walls. A layer of half to ¾-inch mason mortar is then applied. This float is plumbed, squared and smoothed to create A MOLD FREE, flat, sturdy, seamless monolith for tile installation.

The best builders and artisans prefer this process to typical backer boards or membranes that fail to replicate the superior surface that a mud set wall creates. A mud set shower is known to hold up and function for 100 years.
